Choose the rancher if you want a low-profile look, need full wall height for tall storage, or your HOA has height restrictions. Choose a lofted barn if you want the extra overhead storage space.
Can I use a rancher as a workshop?
Absolutely. The full-height walls make the rancher one of the best styles for a workshop. You can mount pegboard, shelving, and tool organizers at any height. Add a window package and it's a solid workspace.
What's the wall height on a rancher?
Standard wall heights are around 6 to 7 feet, depending on the size of the building. Because there's no loft taking up headroom, you get usable space all the way to the walls. Ask for specifics when you get your quote.
